The Apple shape is a well known silhouette of pipe smokers. In french, we could literally translate by "pomme", but we most commonly call it "boule". With its well rounded bowl and its rounded shank, it is a pipe with a really comfortable hold in hand. For this reason, many smokers appreciate Apple pipes. When it comes to the shank, there are no strict rules for its conception. We often meet a straight shank but it is not a necessity, and you will also find Apple pipes with a half bent or bent shank. The traditional Apple pipe is nevertheless a straight pipe, easy to smoke and before all very comfortable in hand. All pipemakers and craftspeople offer at least a pipe with this kind of silhouette. It is therefore not rare to find an Apple pipe at Eole, Peterson, Chacom, Stanwell or Savinelli (to only cite a few examples).
