Original and unusual, the Cavalier shape leaves no one indifferent. Its conception is based on an ancient Bavarian pipe style (called "Tyrolean" because they come from the region of Tyrol in Austria, near Germany). In German, we call this kind of pipe "Gesteckpfeife" for the simple reason that this word means that the pipe is made up of several sections assembled with each other. The Cavalier pipe has a particular structure: a first drilling passes through the shank from one end to the other, and a second drilling connects the bottom of the bowl with the shank. Unlike a classical pipe, the humidity accumulates itself at the bottom of the shank (and therefore does not stagnate elsewhere in the pipe). This imprisonment of tobacco's humidity system is truly THE characteristic of a Cavalier pipe. This system that helps collect the juice turns out to be really practical to clean the pipe. To evacuate the excess of humidity, you just have to unscrew the cap that is under and then you can put a pipe cleaner inside to clean your pipe. The Cavalier pipe has always inspired craftspeople pipe makers. Nowadays, we are proud to put forward an authentic made in France Cavalier pipe, but also more original models from the Ser Jacopo workshop in Italy.
