A magnificent pipe of Dunhill's Amber Root pipe collection:
This Dunhill Amber Root pipe is a model of great quality on which we can see the beautiful wood grain of the briar. Only a few models of Amber Root pipes are made each year because it is difficult to find briar of such excellent quality.
This Dunhill pipe is shipped with its fabric pouch and its box. It is stamped "Alfred Dunhill's The White Spot" on the left side of the shank, and its stem is decorated with a white dot.

The Diplomat, a very original pipe shape signed Dunhill:
The Dunhill Amber Root 5128 is a half-bent pipe with a Diplomat silhouette. The latter actually combines different pipe shapes. We can therefore see on this pipe: an oval-shaped shank (like on a Canadian pipe), a bowl that is not too deep (like for an Author pipe), and the walls of the tobacco chamber are thick (like for a Tomato pipe).
Stamped "Alfred Dunhill's - The White Spot", you will also find on this pipe the number "5128". These numbers indicate the following characteristics:
- Size of the bowl: big (group 5)
- Type of stem: classic Fishtail (type 1)
- Shape of the pipe: Diplomat (silhouette 28)
Even though Dunhill classified this pipe in the 5th group regarding its bowl, the latter is actually quite small. Just a small amount of tobacco can therefore be smoked.
