Dunhill Shell Briar pipes
Alfred Dunhill opened his tobacco shop in England. A few years later, he opened his own pipe factory. Nowadays, Dunhill is considered as one of the most prestigious pipe brands in the world. This meteoric rise is however no accident since each Dunhill pipe is carefully made with materials of excellent quality. The legendary Shell Briar finish must be one of the most important creations of the brand Dunhill. Patented in the United States of America in 1920, no one actually knows how this finish was born. The Shell Briar finish is thus named because of the briar that recalls the external surface and the rough texture of a seashell. This "double" sandblasting reduces the weight of the pipe while putting forward the natural texture of the wood. Dunhill Shell Briar pipes have a black lacquer and a black ebonite stem. Famous for being incredibly lightweight, we can only recommend you to get your Dunhill Shell Briar pipe!
