Eole Maigret's pipe

Our interpretation of Commissioner Maigret’s pipe:
We present to you our interpretation of the pipe of the famous commissioner Maigret. In Simenon's books, the commissioner’s favorite pipe is described as "a slightly curved pipe, almost as big as his face". So we understand that this is a big pipe, with a huge bowl.
For you, we have chosen a deep-bowl pipe as described earlier, with a round and thick shank. Unlike Simenon, we choose a straight pipe reminding our origins. Indeed, the straight pipe is the traditional Saint-Claude's pipe, world capital of the briar pipe. This shape ensures an excellent grip, a fluid smoke and an easy cleaning.
Of course, we took care to engrave the pipe with the name "Maigret" on one side of the shank and the inscription "Eole, Saint-Claude" on the other.
A robust pipe full of assets...
Its thick shank offers you a great robustness and thus more solidity as for the assembly/disassembly of your pipe. It is equipped with an ebonite stem. Contrary to the acrylic stems, the ebonite has the advantage of being more flexible and comfortable in the mouth. Its shape is thinned at the end, allowing an optimal and pleasant grip in mouth.
As with all handcrafted pipes, you may notice slight variations from one pipe to another.
Agathe, La Pipe Rit
Note that this model is mounted with a metal filter that can be cleaned easily. You can of course smoke your pipe without a filter.
