The Horn pipe is inspired from animal's horns shape. Even if this shape can vary from one manufacturer to another, let's discover together the elements that allow to recognize it... Traditionnaly, a Horn pipe should not have any angles from the top of the bowl to the end of the stem (its totality). Thus it should be made of one and only smooth bent (like a bent ice ream cone). We often associate Horn pipes to Oliphant pipes because both look very similar. The latter would draw upon elephant tusks shape. In both cases, this pipe silhouette is only for home use, because its shape may allow it to heat more than a classical pipe (even if there is no generalities to be made, because it also depends on the thickness of the wood).
