Rostiak Champignon pipes

Joseph Rimbaud, also known as "Rostiak", is a pipe maker who creates pipes in Jura, France. His workshop is located in the small village of Les Crozets, where he designs pipes with a particular style. As a pipe smoker, Joseph Rimbaud creates above all out-of-the-ordinary pipes that he likes. He began to work at Chacom and then left the firm in 2006 to make his own pipes. Thanks to the recommendations of the pipe maker Mr Pierre Morel, Best Craftsman of France, his creations are outstanding. You can undoubtedly recognize a Rostiak pipe when you see one. The "Champignon" collection that we present you here is special, since Champignon pipes look like no other models. Indeed, they are characterized by a briar bowl of a conical shape equipped with a long bamboo stem! You may smoke the pipe since a few years already, we are ready to bet that you never saw such a pipe before. Champignon pipes are very original thanks to their shape and the combination of different materials. Each model is unique, but all the pipes have a small tobacco chamber. You will therefore smoke for a short amount of time compared to a classic pipe with which you will smoke longer. Rostiak actually recommends to pipe smokers to smoke this Champignon pipe with a thickly cut tobacco. This may seem contradictory, but thickly cut tobaccos are usually fatter and will therefore not tend to overheat the bowl of the pipe compared to a thin cut. At La Pipe Rit, we are proud to work with Joseph Rimbaud since more than 4 years and to put forward his magnificent creations!
