Located in Barrasso (near Milan), the Savinelli workshop is the biggest pipe manufacturer in Italy. Since 1876, the brand Savinelli indeed proposes briar pipes of great quality to suit all budgets. These pipes (with a natural smooth or dark sandblasted finish depending on the models) are very original thanks to the band that decorates their stem. This band (of a silvery and golden color) is made with two small wave-shaped rings, one made with nickel, and the other one made with brass. This band symbolizes the waves of the sea shining under the sun. This pipe series is actually called Onda because "onda" means wave in Italian.
