The "Gem" series ? The must-have pipes by Ser Jacopo!
The Italian workshop "Ser Jacopo dalla Gemma" is one of the most popular pipe brands in the world. The model presented here is part of the "Gem" collection. It is the rarest and the most high quality series at Ser Jacopo. Very few realizations are made because each handmade pipe requires a perfect grain in all aspects.
The "Smeraldo Fiammata" pipe is one of these outstanding pipes. As a proof, a real gemstone is set in the acrylic stem. In this case, it is an emerald mounted on an 18-carat gold bezel!
A long pipe with a cutty bowl:
Called a "churchwarden", this Ser Jacopo pipe has a particularly long stem. When smoking this kind of pipe, the smoke is softer and fresher than with a classic size model. The Churchwarden Smeraldo pipe has nothing classic since its briar is straight grained through and through. We can even see birdseyes, which is remarkable!
The bowl of this pipe is of a Cutty shape. Slightly inclined towards the front, it inevitably reminds the old clay pipes which were formerly manufactured. Last important thing to know: this Ser Jacopo is mounted with a filter (diameter 9 millimeters). Given the dimensions of the bowl, we advise you to change it every 2 (or even 3 maximum) pipes for maximum efficiency.
