"Insanus", an incredible pipe!

This Ser Jacopo pipe is an extraordinary creation! It is named after the Latin word "insanus" which means "incredible".

Its shape is very particular. It is what we call a "cavalier" pipe. Indeed, on this model, the stopper located at the front of the bowl is screwed. It can be removed to clean the pipe more easily. By inserting a pipe cleaner, you can remove all the moisture. This is typically the main characteristic of the cavalier pipes.

An atypical pipe...

You will have noticed it: the stem seems to be broken. Of course, it is not! This break has been worked by hand by the pipe maker. Visually, the effect is interesting and really atypical. It is rare to see this kind of fantasy!

On the right side of the stem, we can read "Per aspera as astra". This is Ser Jacopo's own slogan. It means "via the abrupt paths, you reach the stars".
