Founded in the early 1980s in Italy, Ser Jacopo is nowadays one of the most famous pipe brands in the world. Mr Giancarlo Guidi, founder of the firm, quickly surrounded himself with the best Italian craftspeople to build a team of experts. Nowadays, each Ser Jacopo pipe is different since they are all entirely handmade with attention to the smallest detail. Giancarlo always let his imagination speak when making pipes. Ser Jacopo pipes are actually true works of art made with briar. Among all the pipes created in the Ser Jacopo workshop, the Maior collection that we present on this webpage must be the one that best illustrates this idea. Ser Jacopo Maior pipes are characterized by their very special finish. The pipes are sandblasted and then rusticated with care in order to create small grooves (while making them stand out thanks to a brighter color). The result is therefore incredible because the texture reminds of cracked lava, like it could be seen on a volcano. Each Ser Jacopo Maior pipe is mostly sandblasted, explaining why they are most of the time in the S1 group.
