Tom Eltang Basic pipes

Since a few years already, Tom Eltang has become one of pipe smokers' favorite pipe makers. If Tom Eltang has become one of the best craftspeople in his field, this must be thanks to his involvement in his projects. As a child, he already wanted to become a pipe maker. He therefore learnt with the best Danish craftspeople before founding his own firm in 1977. You will find on this webpage one of Tom Eltang's most famous collections: Eltang Basic. Pipes of the latter have everything the craftsman wants to propose to pipe smokers: a lightweight and pleasant pipe to smoke. According to him, the Poker/Duke shape is the one that fits this purpose best. Thanks to the flat bottom of the bowl, smokers can let their pipe rest without the help of an additional pipe stand, which is very convenient. Made in the workshop of the pipe maker in Copenhagen, Tom Eltang Basic pipes are made with a Mediterranean briar (with a sandblasted, smooth or rusticated finish), a carbon fibre shank (heatproof and easy to clean with a pipe cleaner) and a short acrylic stem. Smokers agree that Eltang Basic pipes allow an easy pipe draft and that the design is both sober and sophisticated.
