Vauen Maris pipes

Vauen is a German brand with more than 175 years of experience when it comes to pipe making. It is famous in the whole world for its meticulous know-how and its ability to innovate and propose new things to pipe smokers. Nowadays, many pipe brands propose pipes that can be smoked with a 9mm filter, designed by the brand Vauen in 1934 and very efficient to retain tobacco's harmful substances. Besides these filters, Vauen is also very famous for its pipes of The Shire collection. On this webpage, we are proud to present a very special collection named Maris (from the Latin "spuma maris" which means "meerschaum"). Launched for the first time in 2021, Vauen Maris pipes quickly became famous among pipe smokers. Unfortunately, the production of these pipes had to stop in 2023 because of a shortage of raw material. In 2024, Vauen decided to restart this pipe series with a new layer inside the tobacco chamber, this time made with magnesium silicate (a material close to meerschaum with even better absorption efficiency). These pipes are therefore more heatproof and there will be less humidity thanks to this layer. Vauen Maris pipes are characterized by a smooth and shiny briar with a red/brown color.
